Supplies we recommend to get started with Glass Etching

Glass etching has become one of our favorite crafts to teach and practice. When we first started, we used small globs of etching cream and spread it with craft sticks. It worked, but the results were not always consistent. Over time, we refined our method and began applying the cream with a paintbrush instead. That simple change made a big difference. Now we get smooth, clean etching results almost every time.

Because this technique works so well, glass etching has become one of the workshops we love offering at Handmade U. It is a satisfying craft that beginners can learn quickly, and the finished pieces always feel special and personal.

If you are thinking about trying glass etching yourself, we have put together a list of the supplies we recommend. Click the image below to open the full supply list and see the tools we use.

If you are interested in learning in person, please check out our upcoming Classes & Events to see what we have available.
