Beaded pens are fun, colorful, and easy to customize. They also make great gifts. If you are here, you probably purchased one of our beginner supply kits. I hope you enjoy these resources.
You can mix different beads to create your own style.
Supplies
- Beadable pen blank
- Bubblegum beads
- Silicone beads
- Acrylic disc beads
- Spacer beads
- Optional: strong glue
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove the bead bar
Unscrew the metal bead bar from the pen.
Set it aside so it’s ready for the beads.
2. Choose your beads
Pick beads with holes large enough to slide onto the pen bar.
Try mixing:
- Large beads
- Small beads
- Spacer beads
This makes the pen look more interesting.
3. Add the beads
Slide the beads onto the bar in the order you like.
Larger beads often look best in the middle or near the top.
4. Add spacer beads
Spacer beads go between larger beads and help break up the design.
You’ll notice the pen starts to look balanced and colorful.
5. Check your design
Hold the bead bar next to the pen and see how it looks. Adjust the beads if needed.
6. Attach the bead bar
Screw the bead bar back into the pen.
Turn it until it feels tight.
7. Optional extra security
If you want the beads to stay extra secure, add a tiny drop of strong glue before tightening.
Your beaded pen is finished and ready to use.
